Bach, JS - Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (arr)  Ref: 3--008 arranged for violin and 2 violas Ourtext's love affair with the Goldberg Variations started when two violinists and a violist, stranded in the French Alps for a fortnight without their cellist, needed something rewarding to play. The project was completed with this, Ourtext's fifth version of the work. If there is any repertoire for a violin and two violas that is more satisfying than Goldberg, we would like to know about it. In this edition, both viola players are given the parts for both 1st and 2nd viola, to facilitate sharing and exchanging of roles. see sample score
